BRAVA Energia signs its first contract to supply natural gas in the free market

The agreement with the company Cerâmica Serra Azul provides for the supplying of 77,000 m3/day

The agreement signed with the company Cerâmica Serra Azul, in Sergipe, provides for the supplying of 77,000 m³/day of natural gas, starting in January.

BRAVA Energia signed a gas supply contract with the company Cerâmica Serra Azul, based in Sergipe, covering the next three years. This is BRAVA’s first contract to supply natural gas in the free market.

The contract, valued at approximately R$ 130 million, provides for the supplying of 77,000 m3/day of natural gas. The gas will come from BRAVA’s own portfolio, which includes production from Recôncavo Baiano, Espírito Santo and Rio Grande do Norte, providing a competitive advantage for supply stability. The contract starts in January/2025.

Cerâmica Serra Azul is part of the Carmelo Fior portfolio and is a ceramic sector company that was founded in 1989. Operating in Sergipe state since 2010, it has its own material deposits and uses advanced technology high precision machinery.

Pedro Medeiros, the director of New Business, Trading, Gas and Energy, said that, “The agreement with Cerâmica Serra Azul is BRAVA’s first step into the free market and opens up new business horizons within the company. It also demonstrates BRAVA’s commitment to supporting Brazilian industry. Our goal is to advance responsibly and competitively within the gas market”.

Last month, BRAVA signed a gas supply contract with Copergás, based in Pernambuco state. This new contract with Serra Azul demonstrates the company’s strong ongoing efforts to develop partnerships and commercial production solutions, prioritizing customer diversification and encouraging the country’s domestic production.
