The final investment decision includes the drilling and interconnecting of two new wells in the Atlanta Definitive System and two new wells in Papa-Terra, with a further option for Malombe
On Wednesday (2025/01/26), BRAVA’s Board approved the execution of the second phase of the Atlanta Definitive System, involving drilling and interconnecting two wells, and increasing the recovery factor of the Papa-Terra field through the drilling of two new wells. Furthermore, the integrated campaign includes the option to develop Malombe, by drilling one well and connecting it (tieback) to Peroá.
The campaign is scheduled to begin in the 4Q25, with the first well connections expected in 2026.
BRAVA’s CEO, Décio Oddone, said that, “The approval of the joint project fulfills part of the synergies identified when BRAVA was created and confirms the potential for value generation within the company’s portfolio”.
As previously informed to the market, contracts have already been signed for the use of proven technologies, working alongside recognized partners, including the Lone Star rig from Constellation Oil Services; two subsea Christmas trees (ANMs) for Atlanta, provided by OneSubsea; umbilicals by Prysmian; and flexible lines and risers for Atlanta, with a further option for Malombe, supplied by Baker Hughes. Papa-Terra and Malombe already have ANMs available and the Papa-Terra wells will use the existing lines.
