This agreement signed with the São Paulo gas distributor provides for an average supply of 270,000 m³/day of natural gas, starting in January, thereby integrating the production regions of the Northeast, through the TAG network, with the exit points of NTS and TBG, within Comgás’s area.
BRAVA Energia, the result of a merger between 3R Petroleum and Enauta, has signed a gas supply contract with Comgás, the largest gas distributor in Brazil, covering the next three years. This is BRAVA’s first natural gas supply contract for the areas served by NTS and TBG, thus contributing to the opening up and diversification of the market.
The gas will be supplied from BRAVA’s own portfolio, which includes production from Recôncavo Baiano, Espírito Santo and Rio Grande do Norte, providing a competitive edge for maintaining a stable supply. The contract starts in January/2025.
Besides being the first natural gas supply from a producer in the Northeast, through the integrated transportation networks, the contract features a varied supply profile, adjusting to the consumption patterns of Comgás’s customers.
Pedro Medeiros, the director of New Business, Trading, Gas and Energy, said that, “Expanding BRAVA’s relationship with Brazil’s largest gas distributor shows the importance of producers aligning with market needs and highlights the opportunities to continue investing in amplifying the reach of natural gas, responsibly and competitively”.
Last month, BRAVA signed a gas supply contract with Copergás, based in Pernambuco state. With this new deal with Comgás, the company continues to focus on partnerships and commercial production solutions, prioritizing customer diversification and supporting the country’s domestic production.
