At the end of 2024, construction was completed on the Capixaba Center for Rehabilitation and Oil Removal (CRD/CC), a project that is financially supported by BRAVA, in compliance with specific conditions under Operating License No. 1621/2022. This license is linked to the Natural Gas Production and Distribution System of the Peroá and Cangoá fields, located in the Espírito Santo Basin.

Managed by IPRAM (Institute for Research and Rehabilitation of Marine Animals) and based in Vila Velha/ES, the CRD/CC plays a crucial role in the veterinary care of animals rescued under the PMP-BC/ES (Programs for Monitoring the Beaches of the Campos and Espírito Santo Basins) and the PMAVE (Projects for Monitoring Platform and Vessel Effects on Avifauna).

The new facility significantly enhances the capacity for rehabilitation and oil removal, establishing Espírito Santo as a reference hub for the care of marine wildlife. This investment marked a milestone for PMP-BC/ES activities, providing modern and efficient infrastructure for responding to environmental emergencies. Consequently, the CRD/CC not only raises the environmental response standards in the region, but also leaves a lasting legacy for the conservation of marine biodiversity in the state.
