Having signed contracts for the drilling rig, subsea Christmas trees, flexible lines and risers, in November 2024, BRAVA Energia moved forward with another stage of the integrated Atlanta and Papa-Terra campaign, which also includes an option for Malombe. The new contract involves the installation of subsea lines and associated equipment related to the second phase of the Atlanta Definitive System, with the drilling and interconnection of two wells and increasing the Papa-Terra field recovery factor by drilling two new wells. The campaign also includes an option to develop the Malombe field, through the drilling of one well.
Carlos Travassos, the director of offshore operations, says that, “This is another important step toward maximizing the value of the BRAVA Energia portfolio. The contracts that have been signed ensure the availability of essential equipment and services for the Atlanta and Papa-Terra campaign, aiming to increase the recovery factor for our assets.”
Proven technologies will be used, with services provided by McDermott, a U.S. company. In addition to installation, the contract also includes pre-commissioning services and onshore support.
Last week, BRAVA held a meeting with the leading companies involved in the projects. Activities are scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2025, with the first well connections expected in 2026.
